Equinox is a time in the year when the sun is perpendicular to the equator. This occurs twice a year on Earth. In many cultures around the world, the first month after the Equinox is a sacred time. The covers reflect "L'Office de la Semaine Sainte," explaining the many rituals of the most important period in the Christian calendar. The "fanfare" design was popular between 1500 and 1700 and was mainly used for books that were very important. Paperblanks used the tendril motif from the Dusselfdorf Museum Kunstpalast for the Equinox covers.
